Sara turned 3 and Blue was the main guest! 1)INVITATIONS-Sent Blue's Invitations, on it we let everyone know that all kids attending must wear blue to be admitted. Sara wore her blues clues costume, ears and all.2)PAPER GOODS- We went with the Blues Clues party supplies. Plates, napkins, cups, hats and blowers. I found Blues Clues sporks(spoon/forks)at a local craft store.(each child got to take one home)For the adults I used blue plates, cups and blue plastic ware.3)DECORATIONS-A Blues Birthday Balloon to hang above the b-day girl, a dozen blue balloons, blue streamers, paw prints stuck all throughout the house(I found these at Blue's Nickolodeon site-I made 16,make more)I had them laminated. I also printed a picture of Blue with her b-day hat on and mounted it.4)FOOD-Chips with blue dyed dip, blue Twister juice, funfetti cake with blue dyed icing, I used one of those edible Blues Clues toppers. The cake was a hit and it cost me about $3.50.I went on the hunt for blue ice cream of some sort and was thrilled when at Wal-Mart I discovered actual Blues Clues ice cream. It was an even bigger hit. I also used all blue dishes.5)GIFT OPENING-I bought a yard of $1.00 red material and covered Sara's stuffed chair. It was the "thinking chair. "She sat in it to open her gifts.  I took a picture of each child with her as she opened their gift.6)GAMES/ACTIVITIES-PAW PRINT HUNT-The decorations were a game.  The kids were all too young to do an actual "clue "hunt, so starting with the youngest they each got to find two paw prints. One was the door prize. It has a picture of blue on the back.  SHOVEL AND PAIL BEAN BAG TOSS-I found Blues Clues material and made bean bags.  I got a red bucket w/ a yellow shovel. My teens put on the faces using black paper and packaging tape.  The kids tossed the bean bags with the shovel.  This game got the most giggles.  PIN THE FLAG ON MAILBOX-I also laminated this.I gave each child a Copy of Blue I printed out to color.  I had a bowl of blue crayons only. 7)TREAT BAGS-Blues Clues Bags, Mini M&M's in blue containers of course, Blues Clues fruit snacks and stickers.8)PRIZES-Blues Clues Colorforms and a Blues Toothbrush. The party really was a hit and was not that hard or costly! Sara Maddie was pleased!
