It was my son's 3rd Birthday, and he loves Blue's Clue's. Of course he had to have a Blue's Clue's Birthday Party this year. For the invitations I made Notebooks out of thin cardboard and
yellow construction paper, for the wire at the top, I used a red pipe cleaner. On the front it said "It's a Blue's Clue's Birthday! Can you guess who?" Then on each page there was a
small paw print and a clue. The first page was a picture of my son, the second was birthday party stickers, and the second I drew a very simple house. On the last page it said "You
figured it out! Because you're really smart!" And then it gave all the info. For the party itself, I started with blue chalk paw prints leading up the driveway to the house. Then each
child got a "Pail & Shovel" grab bag that I made from red plastic cups with a white pipe cleaner for the handle. I drew on the eyes and used white yarn for the mouth. Shovel was
cut out of yellow construction paper and glued it to the side of Pail. Inside I put small notebooks and a small pack of crayons, bc stickers, candy and other small grab bag toys. I used
construction paper cut-outs of Steve's house, mailbox, a large paw print and some of my son's bc toys for decorations. I also hung light blue and white streamers with bc balloons, that I
found on another website. (turn one large balloon upside-down - tied end up - then draw on the face and tongue with markers with felt ears tied to the top with thread. We had chips and dips
and drank Blue punch (blue Kool-Aid, sherbet, and sprite) we had a bc cake (ordered from the store - I don't bake). Then we had "mail time". I made a letter out of construction
paper that looked just like the one's Steve gets. Inside it was a special birthday message from Blue wishing him a happy birthday and telling him that she had left clues all over the backyard
for him and his friends to find. Then we all went outside to find clue's that I had made from light blue squares of construction paper, on them they each had a dark blue paw print and a piece
of candy taped to the back. For games we played Pin the nose on Blue - I made this with posterboard and colored it with dark blue markers and light blue chalk. (he liked it so much, that we
have it hanging in his bedroom now.) Blue's Clue's bingo that I printed on the computer and had picture's of Blue, Steve and a lot of his other friends from the show. We also played Toss the
Blue Puppy Tails into the "Pail" (a bucket that I drew a face on) and the tails were small tail shaped bean bags that my daughter and I made. There were prizes for everybody, and
everyone had a great time. He liked it so much, I saved an innovation for his babybook.
