For my daughters 3rd birthday we had a Blues Clues theme. I sent out invitations that I made by hand drawing Blue on light blue card stock paper and added a yellow party hat with glitter
spots and curly ribbon on top of hat. On the back of Blue I gave party info. When Guests arrived they were greeted by a home made sign of Blue holding helium balloons and a sign that
read "follow the paw prints to Blues house". I made Blues paw prints to lead the guest to the party in our back yard. There was a maze made with helium balloons tied to Blues Clues
toys and a yellow box tunnel. They ended at a playhouse with a slide sign that read Blues House. They would then slide into the party area surrounded by helium balloons. I also made
many flowers and hand drew all Blues Friends and attached them to Popsicle sticks and put them all over in the grass. As guests arrived I gave them a party hat and painted a paw print on
there cheek.
made the hats out of solid blue hats and added yellow swirls and dark blue dots and sticking out of the top of the hat I added 3 yellow pipe cleaners and swirled them. In the party area there was the table for the kids. I used a long table and put it on blocks to make it lower and borrowed small nursery chairs from my church. I put a light blue table cloth on the table and made laminated dark blue paw print as place mats with each child's name on it. I also placed Mailbox in the middle and toys around the table with curled ribbon. The games that we played were pin the flag on mailbox, musical paw prints (we had the thinking chair and who ever was out sat in it until the next kid was out and the last kid got a prize, Blues toy box(I made Blues toy box out of a box and used blue Easter grass and put prizes in it and let each kid pick one out) and we had a Blues Clues pull string piņata which works wonderful for this age. Before the games we ate Blues Clues Mac-n-Cheese and apple sauce. I served the mac-n-cheese in a pail with a shovel (I drew a face on pail) After the games we had a cake I made. The cake was of Blues head and a paw print which held a #3 candle and all of the kids had a cupcake with light blue frosting and a dark blue paw print. After the cake we had our daughter sit in the thinking chair and open her gifts. When the kids went home they got to take there paw print place mats and special made pail and shovel gift bag filled with blues clues party gifts (the pails were made from a large round ziploc container lined with red tissue paper a face painted on the front a yellow ribbon for a handle a yellow shovel made out of card stock paper and inserted into the top of the lid and a paw print to cover the ziploc logo) It was a blast the kids and parents had a great time. A lot of prep work but well worth it.
