Blues Clues Party: We had one for our six year old in May. I decorated the garage door with large blue prints, and blue balloons on the sides. The kids started by drawing with chalk
three clues about themselves, like their family, or a pet, or a self portrate.I also face painted, with marker face paints, prints on each cheek.
I bought a Blue's pack of cards with clues, and after each activity my husband would head them all into the livingroom onto the thinking couch to let them figure out the clues they had found in a different room. We also did a relay--filling small cups with blue dye, throwing golf balls into a carboard Blue's mouth, and played pin the tail on Blue. We placed tags in the gifts with numbers (eg. 5+7) that would correspond with the numbers on tametags (brett:12) which had Blue's paw print. We drew and colored the characters (eg tickety) from the show and stuck them on the wall by the table, and also put paw prints in sets of three all over the hallway. I bought a blue paper tablecloth and had our son finger paint paw prints, and then even drew Blue and Steve with chalk onto the tablecloth with the Blue's Clues logo. Avon sells a magnetic Blue's house and characters which we put on our front door. We ordered treat bags from ParyShop that had binoculars, notebooks, Blues stickers, and magnifying glasses to take home. What a fun time, even for six year olds!
