Hi, I was browsing around and found this site, Thank you for the flashlight tag idea. That should be fun this year at our TENT CRAWL parties.
Last year I asked my husband what to do with the kids for Memorial Day weekend. Before kids and moving around the country, we used to go camping every Memorial and Labor Day weekend. He suggested we pitch the tent and have the neighborhood kids over. (we seem to be the only active parents on the block). So we set up the tent , put on the sprinkler, filled the kiddie pool, filled some water balloons, played kick ball, did the hotdog and hamburger meal, roasted marshmallows, had pancakes at 11pm when the hubby came home and toilet papered the front tree, staying up till 4 am. It was fun. The 4th of July came, we did the same thing but I took them to see two parades and we decorated our bikes and went for a ride in the neighborhood. Labor Day came and we did pizza instead because it is just easier, you can call ahead and it arrives. A new year is here, I made up invitations this year since we have a computer finally, we have a bigger pool a bigger slide, (the kids got bigger too!) age 4 and 7. We have a volleyball net it works great with a beach ball, I got red white and blue Crete paper for the tree to give it some color, I found a bag of 300 water balloons and now the flash light tag will help too!! Hope some of the stuff we do will inspire you. The kids have a great time, last year I had 19 kids in the yard at different times and 5 slept over. This year we invited 20 to come we'll see how it goes. The parents here think we are nuts, but we love it!! Jane
