Here are a few themes that I am thought of for any birthday party: For children 1)Cartoons-have everyone dress up like a person from their favorite cartoon and have pictures up all around the house of different cartoons.  Hand out little cartoon stickers, pencils, etc. in a party bag at the door. 2)Animals-have everyone in the party come dressed like their favorite animal. You can once again theme the party around animals and have fun animal posters and pictures up all around the house.  Then make sure to give out gift bags with candies, animal stickers, pencils, and animal notepads for the kids.  They will think it's really fun. Other themes for children: for girls-angel costumes (Have everyone go as angels), base the party around a TV show that all sexes of children will like, etc. For the adults Black and white ball-have an elegant party with everyone in beautiful suits and ball gowns, all in black and white.  Or, you can just have everyone dress in black and white. Make sure to have a bar at this party so the people can listen to calm classical music while sipping wine and dancing the night away. For people of all ages Go Hawaiian-have everyone dress Hawaiian. Then make sure you hold the party in a colorful room with many decorations.  Have smoothies available at the bar and make up tropical names for the drinks. Base the party on a certain color-You can have a green party (For example) and have everyone dress in all green. Have a holiday party-decorate the place with decorations that have to do with the holiday, have foods that go with the party etc. But make sure that if you or having a New Years/Christmas/Hanukah/Kwansa party that you make sure everything fits in to the people you are inviting, religious beliefs. You don't want to invite strictly Jewish people to a Christmas party.  Have stars of David up and candy kanes and things like that. Celeb theme-Have everyone dress up like their favorite celebrity and then have people go around and guess who the other people are.  That will get the party started and then it will make the party more fun. Party tips \*Be creative, maybe you can think of more themes to make your party funner. \*Make sure you've checked everything out before your party.  Make sure you've seen numerous places to have the party, numerous decorations, numerous themes, etc. so that your party will be really fun and unique.  Also, you can save money that way.
