Annie Party for 4 Year Old
Invitation: DVD of the movie. Front cover was a picture of my daughter with Sandy the dog instead of Annie and said: Come to _____'s 4th Birthday Party Featuring "Annie". Inside cover: We'll meet at the orphanage at 12 o'clock; be sure to wear your rattiest frock. We'll watch Annie and act out a scene; I sure hope Ms. Hannigan's not to mean! In Daddy Warbuck's limo we'll take a tour; to celebrate with ______ as she turns four! RSVP to Ms. Hannigan Decorations: House was turned into orphanage with clothes strewn about everywhere, shoes hanging from the chandelier, ironing board set up, old fashioned sewing machine and radio, old army cots set up to view the movie. Lots of old fashioned ticking fabric was used to cover the cots and pillow cases. Huge stuffed golden retriever was Sandy the dog. A large cardboard playhouse served as Warbuck's mansion and the kids colored it and played inside. Metal paint buckets had each girl's name written on it graffiti like. Rags and feather dusters were inside the buckets. Food was also served in the metal buckets for the adults (sandwiches, chips, dessert). Girls lunches were served in a paper bag resembling a retro 40s style purse. Sunshine pinata was stuffed with goodies. Orphanage sign on front door. Birthday girl and guests were dressed like orphans; birthday girl changed into Annie costume later on to go in Daddy Warbuck's limo. Activities: Color cardboard playhouse; decorate metal buckets with adhesive hearts; clean the house when "It's a hard knock life comes on"; Play Ms. Hannigan says (like Simon says); Pinata, limo ride went to McDonald's for shakes, opened gifts in limo and sang happy birthday. Took group photo for thank you card. Favors: Heart lockets with each girls parents pictured inside.
