My daughter turned 2 on Jan 14, 2008. She just loved the character called Maisy , the mouse. She picked up this character from Maisy books and Dvd available at our local library.Since Maisy is
a cartoon character from Europe it was so hard to find any of the party supplies for it. But since my daughter just loved this sharacter I still wanted to stick to the theme of Maisy, the
mouse for her second birthday. First of all I combined the theme of Maisy with the farm theme. Making it Maisy goes to farm".This helped me order party suppies of farm animals
theme. I studied Maisy goes to farm(book) very carefully jotting down all the bright colors that the book uses. The colors were yellow Blue and green. So I choose table covers of blue(food
tables) red(cake table) and green(guest-sitting tables).I used baloons of the same four colors combined them with cow print baloon and place 5 baloons(red yellow blue green cow-print)in a
bunch on each guest sitting table(there were 6 tables in the hall). The crepe paper also had the same colors. The same color scheme was used for goody bags. I bought plain solid color paper
goody bags from dollar store. I self painted Maisy's doing differnt things on each individual bags.I placed them on a table in the party hall. they looked beautiful and made a mass apperance.
for each table I painted Maisy in a sitting position on a piece of thermocoal and made a kind of a flag for each tableon the back side of this I place my daughter's photographs from
category(0-4months) ....(18-24months). For the walls in the party hall I painted Maisy the farmer with farm animal families on thermocoal. I made Maisy with sheep family Maisy with a pair of
pigs Maisy with cow Maisy with rooster family and maisy riding horse. We stuck the thermocoal decoration with masking tape on the walls. It just looked wonderful. All the guest appreaciated
the time and effort I made to put the decoration together. They just loved it. All my efforts paid off. It was a lot of work put in
I started working on my daughter's birthday party event 2 months ahead. In the event when I saw the suprised and happy face of my daughter it felt that it was worth spending the time to put all thisa together. i thorowly enjoyed it!!!!and so did my family and guest.. "
