My son loves superheroes. So on his 5th birthday, he had a "superfriends" birthday party. Instead of goody  bags, I made superfriend capes for each child (some of the adults wanted one too). The capes fastened with Velcro and I ironed the first letter of each child's  name on the center of their cape. I used iron-on patches  for the letters. The kids entertained  themselves playing superheroes. And a year later, I still see some of the kids (including my boys)   wearing their capes.
