For my son's 3rd birthday in 3 weeks we are planning a Clifford party. I found some pink and black striped knee socks online for $5 and I am dressing like Emily Elizabeth. I found my son a
Clifford costume on Ebay for $4.95 so I will say "I'm Emily Elizabeth and THIS is my dog Clifford." I am sure as soon as everyone arrives the birthday boy will come out of the
Clifford Costume. I will have about 50 dog bone shaped cookies in a clear cookie jar and as each guest arrives they will guess how many cookies are in the jar. The kids are going to play
outside on the swingset that we bought him for his birthday. I will have their lunch (hotdogs, chips,Clifford gummies and a red Mondo drink) in brown paper bags labeled "Doggie
bags". We will have a picnic outside on a red tablecloth. After the children eat I will give a prize to the child who guessed the number of dogbones. Then I will give the children 2 of
the cookies each as well as a small container of icing and a small container of red sugar sprinkles. They will decorate their 2 cookies and then play some more. I will yell, "Clifford,
storytime" and read Cliffords birthday party. We will then have cake and ice cream. The cake will be a giant red dogbone and the icecream will have red sprinkles on it. Before we open
presents, we will hand out the treat bags. They are in brown paper bags as well and are labeled "Clio's treat bags" and "T-Bones treat bags" as there are girl bags and boy
bags. My son (CLifford) will hand out the treat bags to his friends. Then we will open presents. The party is scheduled from 11-2 on a Saturday morning. It will be the middle of July and
Clifford does live on an island so we will have kiddie pools for the kids to play in. For decorations, I got the plates, cups, napkins etc... at Party City. I will use red, blue and
yellow balloons. It just so happens that Clifford came to our local mall last Friday and my son had his picture made with him so I plan to make Thanks you cards and include a picture of him
and Clifford in them.
