We are having a Clifford the Big Red Dog party for our 5 year old son in May. Clifford lives on Bird Well Island.  I will put sand on the tablecloths to represent island living.  Instead of hats that snap children's chins, we will wear red lays & straw hats that are turned up on the ends (to pretend we are living on an island). The gift bags are red lunch bags that they can decorate with the crayons that will be inside as one of the party prizes.  The sunglasses are in plastic wrap & will be in the sandbox for each child to find.  I will read the Happy Birthday Clifford book after gifts are opened before the guests leave.  Strawberries will be served with the cake & ice cream. It's very creative by pretending to live on an island with Clifford for a couple of hours & rather inexpensive because the party prizes are used.
