My daughter is a Dalmatian nut! For her 5th birthday she wanted a Dalmatian party, but I didn't want to do just the same boring thing. So I went to the store and bought black headbands
and glued on felt ears with spots. Then we made each child a felt collar with a bone name plate on it.
As they arrived they each got a set of ears and a their own personalized dog collar. They loved it! For decoration we took 4 poster boards and taped them on the wall with a dog house painted on it and the rest of the dining room had black Dalmatian spots taped all over. Which by the way made a great back stop for a group picture. For cake and ice-cream we had a Dalmatian cake with vanilla ice-cream with chocolate chips but instead of serving it on plates it was served in the 2 sided dog dish. The kids thought that was great --- oh yeah and they couldn't eat with any silverware! Do dogs? That was a great deal of fun! We had a bone race where each child got on their hands and knees picked up the bone in their mouth and raced, they couldn't drop the bone. And for atmosphere during the entire party we had 101 Dalmatians running on television. The kids had a great time and for their goody bags we filled everyone's dog dish with little bone candies. They talked about the party for months! It was a definite hit!
