For My Son's 6th birthday, we invited 12 boys and had a football game. As each boy arrived he drew a colored poker chip from a bag. the green chips were the Gators and the Blue chips were the
Cowboys. I had t-shirts printed for each team with #'s on the backs that the boys got to keep.
I got the shirts a little big so that they would be loose and comfortable. I tucked strips of red material into each players waistband and they pulled them out rather than tackling so no pads and helmets were needed and No Injuries!! I went to the local newspaper and got 2 large rolls of paper ( they give these remnant rolls away ) I bought poster paint and made each team a sign to Bust Through" at the start of the game. My husband and his brother did the QuarterBacking for the teams which was perfect for 6 year olds. I had a football cake from WalMart & icecream. When my son was done with opening presents parents started arriving for pick-up. (You can do this party in 2 hours with ease.)"
