Opening Day 2nd Birthday Party! For my son's second Birthday, we had an opening day, baseball bash.
He had his photo taken in all his Red Sox gear with the World Series Trophy. We sent that out as the invitation and asked everyone to wear Red Sox clothes. We served peanuts, hot pretzels, cracker jacks, lemonade and Root beer for snacks then had lots of street meat: hot dogs, sausages and steak tips with peppers & onions. We hung pennants all over the house and had a cake with the red sox logo. We played whiffle ball and had a baseball pinata. The World series DVD played all day. There were kids (& adults) of all ages so everyone got a pennant and a pack of baseball cards for a favor. It was a great time! It really felt like a ball game and was so cool that everyone was all dressed up. One of the best parts was that the decorations were also the favors and the food could not have been easier. I think this party would work for many ages. My husband would like it for his next bash!! We had fun & hope you do too.
