At my daughters 8 year old birthday we had a tea party. She picked 10 girls to invite. We sent out tea party invitations and explained where we would be going.I had them to wear their sunday
dress. 8 girls met at our house, I then took them to a local salon. The ladys fixed each girls hair and nails as if they where going to the prom. They put some of them in french twists,
some in alot of curls. Each girl had a different look. She stuck diamonds down through their twists and used very fancy hair pins. The girls sat in there seats and acted just like
little ladys, they loved it! Their nails where done in french maicure or some where painted in colors. After everyone was made up we went back to our house. The girls sat down at a table
decorated with a pink table cloth, floral napkins, and minature tea pots setting around the table. We had finger sandwiches, cookies shaped like tea pots, and cookies shaped like ice creams. I
found these cookies at Barnes and noble. I found, at a bakery some ice cream made out of oranges and apples. They cut the fruits in half and made yogurt and put it back inside the fruit and
froze it. The girls loved those. The cake was a barbie cake, her dress matched the colors on the napkins.I picked up tea pots for a month before the party collecting as many as possible for
decorating. I now use them in my house. For party favors, I went to a goodwill store and got tea cups. I filled them full of candy and hair bows. I set up a place outside and took a picture
of each of the girls. I placed their pictures in their cups and before hand had printd up a thank you card. It said, thank you for coming. I hope you had a geat time and by the way you looked
marvelous. The girls spent the rest of the evening making bead necklaces and bracelets. Soon the parents came and they could not beleive how pretty their girls looked. The girls did not want
to go home. The parents said this was the best birthday idea they had ever heard of. All the girls asked if we could do this again next year. It was the best party we ever had and I wished we
had done this in preeschool years also.
