BREAKFAST PAJAMA PARTY For my daughter's 7th birthday, instead of a sleepover, we picked up the invitees at 9 in the morning dressed in their pajamas and slippers and brought them back to our house. There were 7 girls, the age of the birthday girl.
Dad had been busy in the kitchen making Mickey mouse waffles, pancakes, bacon and sausage while we were picking everyone up.
After a big breakfast the girls decorated cookies that were shaped like a hand (I made these ahead of time). I bought decorator icing tubes from Michael's in fun bright colors so the girls could make rings, colored finger nails, watches or bracelets on their hand cookie. The cookies went home with each girl.
The girls also made beaded bracelets with colorful beads and I had letter beads so they could make their name or any other words they chose to make.
Finally, before cake, everyone got a tye-dye t-shirt that I had made ahead of time, which I suggest doing because this turned out to be time consuming. I used yellow, orange and hot pink rit dye and they turned out really fun; the girls LOVED them. The girls put their new shirts on and the pants they had brought with them and we ended the party with cake and presents.
It was a great party and it was over by 11 a.m.!
