Golf Party: Our boy/girl twins were turning four and we wanted something that would work for both. I decided to make FORE/FOUR!! the theme and we went to a local miniature golf course. They provided pizza, drinks and tokens for each child as well as two rounds of golf.
My biggest challenge was trying to find party and gift bag items; I thought the party store would carry golf theme plates, etc. at Father's Day but none in our area did. I used a website to find the "fore" golf plates, napkins.
The biggest hit was our party favor. After searching through party shops, golf pro shops, etc. and feeling at the end of my party rope, I had the idea to fill a cup with regular party favors and candy. I topped it off with "green grass" made of fiberfill (no mess), a golf tee and a plastic ball.
We made small pennant shaped flags with poster board and wrote each child's name on the flag before gluing it to a wooden skewer and sticking it through the grass. It really put the golf theme on the table.
