Bike Parade -  Visit With a DARE Policeman

My birthday party idea is a bike parade. 

I invited all guests to bring their bikes, riding toys or wagons and helmets.  Before the party I called the local police department who sent the DARE policeman.  He spoke to the children regarding safety, strangers and other issue which were on their level. 

The children were excited to see a real policeman who was fun and friendly.  They were all impressed with the car too. He then handed out pencils, stickers and balloons (all of which was free). 

We then had a parade up and down the street.  Party gifts were bells and horns for their bikes.

Afterwards we had a piñata, then cake & ice cream.  It was fun for all and reasonable too.
